Acceptance of these terms
By using this website you agree to these Terms of Service and to the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the site. These terms do not create a therapist–client relationship; that relationship is established separately through intake, consent, and a first session.
Site content is not medical advice
If you are in crisis, call or text 988 (Suicide and Crisis Lifeline). If there is immediate danger, call 911.
Eligibility and service area
Counseling services are provided by a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Michigan and are available to clients physically located in Michigan at the time of service. If you are outside Michigan, we cannot see you for therapy regardless of where you live permanently.
You must be at least 18 years old to book services for yourself. Services for minors are booked by a parent or legal guardian.
Intake, deposits, and booking
- Booking a session requires completing the secure intake form and paying a session deposit through Stripe.
- The deposit is applied to your first session. If the practice cannot see you (outside service area, clinical fit, scheduling), the deposit is refunded in full.
- Session fees, deposit amounts, and sliding-scale policies are shown at the time of booking and in your intake paperwork.
- Confirmation and receipts are sent by email through our transactional email provider.
Cancellation and no-show policy
To hold time for every client, the practice requires at least 24 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule a session. Sessions missed without notice, or cancelled within 24 hours, may be billed at the full session rate. Specific amounts are set in your intake paperwork and may be updated from time to time.
Telehealth use
Most sessions are delivered through telehealth. Your use of telehealth is governed by the separate Telehealth Consent, which you review and sign during intake.

Template note for the practice: this document is a plain-language starting point. Please have it reviewed by legal counsel before treating it as final, especially the cancellation, disclaimer, and liability sections, and confirm that fee amounts and the service-area statement match your current practice.
