Straightforward fees, and how insurance fits.

A session is 60 minutes and costs $150, whether it takes place in person in Lake Orion or by telehealth anywhere in Michigan. The fee is the same either way.

• Once Lizanne has confirmed a time with you, a 50% deposit of $75 holds the appointment.
• The remaining balance is charged to the same card after the session, and a receipt is emailed to you.
• Payments run through Stripe. Card details never touch this website.

Sessions booked through this practice are self-pay rather than billed to an insurance plan. Many clients with out-of-network mental health benefits submit a superbill, an itemized receipt with the codes insurers need, for partial reimbursement. Ask for one at any time.

To find out what your plan would cover, call the number on the back of your insurance card and ask three questions:

• What is my out-of-network mental health benefit?
• What is my out-of-network deductible, and how much of it has been met this year?
• After the deductible, what percentage of the allowed rate is reimbursed for outpatient psychotherapy?

A small number of reduced-fee slots are held for clients for whom the full fee would put counseling out of reach. Raise it during the introductory call. The answer will be honest either way, and asking carries no judgment.

Sessions cancelled with at least 24 hours' notice are not charged. Same-day cancellations and no-shows are billed at the full session rate, because the time has been held for you.

Sessions are available on Tuesdays and Thursdays. You can request a time online, or send a message first if you have questions about fit or cost.
